Glumac is providing mechanical, electrical, plumbing lighting, high-level energy consultation, and technology integration for California State Polytechnic University – San Luis Obispo’s Housing Future Plan. This is a ten-year master planning effort with various phases including site enabling, or make-ready, design of underground dry utilities, new construction on nine new student residence halls, and renovation of six existing residence halls.

The design and construction include approximately 5,800- beds, nine (9) new student housing projects at the current
North Mountain and K-1 parking sites, and renovation of six (6) existing residential halls at the current South Mountain site. This is a design-build effort – Glumac has continuously worked to improve design with both our design and contracting partners.

The Housing Future Plan Red Bricks included mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design – services are mechanical, plumbing, electrical, communications and energy. Site enabling included medium voltage and communication design for main campus distribution network to new and renovated housing, it also included street lighting design.

The new construction included exterior lighting design for the site pathway or pedestrian lighting.

At this time Glumac has concluded the project definition phase, which was a submission of the Housing Future Plan project narrative, inclusive of all phases, and estimated costs to the California State University (CSU) Capital Planning Design & Construction (CPDC) and the CSU Board of Trustees (BOT).
