The Limelight Hotel Ketchum is a five-story, new construction hotel-residential complex in the heart of the resort city of Sun Valley, Idaho. Geared toward those who love the slopes and mountain getaways, this luxury complex includes a lobby, fitness area, retail space, meeting rooms, outdoor pool, and parking.

Several aspects of the project required extra attention from Glumac’s engineers. First, the timeline was rigid. The complex had to be open in time for the ski season, as visitors had booked units several months in advance. So, Glumac designed the systems on a compressed schedule. Second, Glumac had to coordinate and collaborate with a variety of consultants—professionals for snow melt, the pool, and interior design. Finally, in order to support a luxury complex that would blend well in Sun Valley, Glumac designed low-cost, yet reliable, MEP systems to support the rest of the budget.

Sustainable features on the hotel-residential complex include an efficient four-pipe fan coil system, high-efficiency air-cooled chillers, and high-efficiency condensing boilers.
