Oregon Humane Society New Road Ahead
Portland, Oregon, United States
Glumac provided commissioning services for the construction of two new buildings for the Oregon Humane Society. The first being the new 23,760 sf Community Hospital including an Animal Crimes Forensic Center. And the second, a new 13,176 sf Behavioral Rehabilitation and Rescue Center. Both buildings are located next to OHS’s existing shelter.
The new facilities are both designed with animals in mind, taking special attention to detail to ensure a welcoming and secure space. From separate waiting areas for cats and dogs, to natural lighting, and perforated wood ceilings to absorb sound, every aspect is intentional.
Within the hospital, Glumac commissioned the systems for the exam, treatment, surgery, and dental surgery rooms. On the second floor, is the Animal Crimes Forensics Center, the second of its kind in the United States.
