San Francisco International Airport Sustainability and Energy Services
San Francisco, California, United States
Glumac provided a number of energy and sustainability services in support of San Francisco International Airport’s (SFO) 2040 carbon neutrality goals.
Climate Action Plan Update – FY 2021
Glumac provided Greenhouse Gas (GHG) inventory and climate action planning support for SFO. SFO is currently pursuing Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) Level 4 certification, which expanded the scope of their monitoring and reporting requirements. The ACA provides a common framework and tools for active carbon management at airports.
We worked with SFO and stakeholders to report on the annual compliance of SFO’s Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. Through this process we helped to improve SFO’s carbon accounting processes and documentation to streamline their ongoing tracking and annual reporting efforts. We helped prepare SFO’s FY 2021 Climate Action Plan report, which will present SFO’s annual emissions and progress towards carbon neutrality and climate action plan goals.
Energy & Utilities Reporting
Glumac developed a streamlined utility data tracking and reporting process that integrated more than 100 utility accounts and multiple other data sources into an organized workbook that monitors SFO’s key performance indicators (KPIs). This resulted in a 75% reduction in the time spent by SFO’s energy and sustainability manager to sort through the data on monthly basis. The cleaned data will be pulled into new dashboarding tools to track SFO’s progress towards carbon neutrality.
