FEI Company

Hillsboro, Oregon, United States

  • Overview

FEI Company adds to Hillsboro’s robust population of high-tech corporate headquarters. The clean room electron microscope manufacture renovated a 70,000 sf office space and 112,000 sf of manufacturing space, expanding its footprint in the burgeoning Silicon Forest.

Glumac provided complete mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design for the project, which included the upgrade of 29,000 sf of Class 10,000 clean room space to Class 1,000. An additional 7,000 sf was renovated to Class 10,000 clean room space. Specialty lighting was designed for the lobby and executive offices, and a new 40kW uninterruptible power source was designed to support the campus. A sales demonstration floor was also included in the renovation, and features a controlled lighting system designed for flexibility in presentations and demonstrations.
